More Than Just a Therapist
Beyond the Therapy Room
Outside of the therapy room, I’m someone who finds a lot of joy in connection, creativity, and the little things that make life feel good. I’m a big animal person, and spending time with my dogs is one of my favorite ways to unwind, reset, and get a daily dose of joy. If there’s a cozy couch, a good book (especially thrillers, fantasy, or crime), and a quiet moment, I’m probably very content.
I’m also a proud nerd at heart. I love gaming on PC — whether that’s jumping into Overwatch, building something in Minecraft, or laughing through a chaotic indie game with friends. Creativity shows up for me in a lot of ways but painting and Pinterest-inspired projects are some of my favorites. Not because I’m aiming for perfection, but because I enjoy the process and letting things be a little messy.
When I’m not inside, I’m usually outside soaking up sunshine and fresh air. I love hiking, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and taking in beautiful scenery whenever I can. I enjoy a little bit of adventure too — things like airsofting or four-wheeling — especially when it’s done thoughtfully and at my own pace. I like stepping outside my comfort zone, but in a way that still feels grounded and safe.
When it’s time to slow things down, I’m happiest spending a quiet night in with my spouse or a small group of close friends — whether that’s a movie night, game night, or sitting around a bonfire. I love watching shows and movies and tend to be interested in just about every genre, which means I’m always excited to start something new. All of these interests shape how I show up as a therapist — as a real human who values curiosity, humor, and connection, and who believes that meaningful growth happens when you feel safe enough to be yourself.
If you like what you’ve read and want to learn more, or if shared interests and values matter to you in a therapist, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to connect and see if we’re a good match.
